Description:
This setting enables you to remove the desktop tab from the display properties dialog box. By using desktop tab you can change wallpaper images and set their display style. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, create a dword value nodispbackgroundpage, in the right panel, if this value does not exist. Then, right-click and modify its value to 1 which can remove the tab desktop from the display properties dialog box. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. Note: in windows vista, the desktop background option in right panel is removed from the window.
