Level: Recommended For Experts Only
Description:
This setting enables you to disallow the users to see or modify the settings of the local distributed file system (dfs) shares. If this setting is enabled, the distributed file system (dfs) tab wont be visible in windows explorer. The distributed file system (dfs) enables you to regard files from different sources (different servers) as one logically unit (one hard disk). For this go to "start->run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create one dword value "nodfstab", if this value is not existing. Now you can set this value to hide the tab dfs from windows explorer. After a restart or logoff the changes take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
