This setting enables you to hide the tab Security from Windows Explorer.

Description:
This setting enables you to hide the tab security from windows explorer. This restriction removes the security tab from windows explorer which prevents users from accessing or changing the security permissions of folder and file objects. If you go to a file or folder in windows explorer, press the right mouse button, choose properties and click on the tab security, you can set permissions. If you disable simple file sharing, you can use this setting to hide the tab security. For this go to "start->run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create one dword value "nosecuritytab", if this value is not existing. Now you can set this value to hide the tab security from the preferences dialog box. After a restart or logoff the changes take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\]</b> key, right-click and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "NoSecurityTab".

Third, right-click on the 'NoSecurityTab' DWORD value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
