Description:
You can prevent changes to the default file system settings using the display system icon from the current applets list displayed in the control panel. This can be done by hiding the file system button from the system properties dialog box. The file system button enables to change the file system settings of your system. Through this setting you can configure the role of hard drive along with the other removable drives attached to your system. It also allows setting default functioning on system and program error reporting. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey \system does not exist, create it as explained below. Then, create a dword value nofilesyspage at both the hkey_current_user and hkey_local_machine registry paths. Now, right-click and modify their values to 1 which can prevent changes to file system settings. However, if you want to enable the button back, change the value data to 0 or delete the added values. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
