If you search for a computer on the network, windows will save the arguments passed in the registry. Through this tweak you can clear the arguments used to search a printer, computer or people. For this go to start > run and enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Delete all numeric entries like 000, 001, 002 etc., in the right panel. The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5647\]</b>, in the open area right-click on "ID" (where ID=000 to N integer value) and click on 'Delete'.
