Change the Vertical Icon Spacing
By using this tweak you are able to specify the number of pixels that appear vertically between icons.
Level: Recommended For Novice Users
Description:
Windows determines the default number of pixels between icons based on the icon title font and the display which is used. Windows nt versions 3.5 and 3.51 do not include a graphical user interface for changing vertical icon spacing. But, windows nt version 4.0 includes a graphical user interface. By using this tweak you are able to specify the number of pixels that appear vertically between icons. For this, go to start > run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can modify a reg_sz (string value) value "iconverticalspacing", or create if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to number which represents amount of pixels to appear vertically between icons. Note: value which you will set doesnt represent exact number of pixels. If you enter "75", thats not mean 75 pixels. For example a value of "-1155" is equivalent to 45 pixels, "-1455" is equivalent to 65, "-2000" is equivalent to 101. Notice that these are all minus values. Default value is "-1125" which is equivalent to 43 pixels. Restart your system for the change to take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
