Showing Windows Version on the Desktop.
Enabling this option will show the Version information of Windows on the desktop and disabling the option will hide this information from desktop.

Early versions of windows showed the version number on the desktop, but this feature was removed in the later version. By using this tweak you are able to enable the feature again. That will help you to quickly locate which version of windows is running. For this, go to start > run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create dword value "paintdesktopversion", if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to "1" to enable feature. However, if you want to get back to the original state and disable the feature, change the value to "0". When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\]</b>,in the open area right-click on "PaintDesktopVersion" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" (Base Hexadecimal) Without quotation in the text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.
