Description: The shared documents folder allows to users to easily share files and folders over a network. By using this tweak you are able to remove the shared documents object from my computer. For this, go to start > run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. If any of the sub keys is not present, create it as listed below. You can create a dword value "noshareddocuments", if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to "1" to remove the shared documents object from my computer. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to "0". Restart your system for the change to take effect.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit". |

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\]</b> key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Explorer". |

Third, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "NoSharedDocuments". |

Fourth, right-click on the 'NoSharedDocuments' DWORD value and click on "Modify". |
