Description:
While you are looking your files using the detailed view option you may have noticed that the attributes column has disappeared. With the introduction of windows 98 second edition it was removed by default. When you click the view tab in the folder options dialog box, the show file attributes in detail view option may not appear in the advanced settings box. By using this tweak you are able to add it back. For this, go to start > run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value showattribcol, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to "1" to show file attributes in detail view. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to "0". Note: this attributes option was by default available in windows 98 but was removed in windows 98 second edition.
