Description: Changing this value will alter the programs used when you right-click a disk in my computer and select properties > tools. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey, \defragpath, does not exist, create it as described below. Now, create a string value name, default, if it does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with the valid path for defrag.exe to enable the setting. Click ok and close the registry editor. After logoff or system restart, changes take effect. Note: the default value for nt/2000/xp is: %systemroot%\system32\dfrg.msc %c: to return the value to the default either set it to a value above or delete the entire sub-key.
