Sort Start menu and Favorites in alphabetical order
This tweak allows you to sort Start menu and Favorites menu in alphabetical order.

Description:
Their order is not always in alphabetical order because of manual settings or addition of a new program. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, highlight the subkey, favorites, and delete it. Similarly, highlight the subkey, start menu, and delete it. Now, highlight the subkey, start menu2, and delete it. Click ok and close the registry editor. After logoff or system restart, changes take effect. Note: with internet explorer 5 or later you can also sort by right-clicking any item on the menu, and then select sort by name. In windows vista, items will be sorted alphabetically only when classic start menu is in use. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\]</b> key, right-click on the "Favorites" key and click on "Delete".

Third, right-click on the "Start Menu" key and click on "Delete".

Finally, right-click on the "Start Menu2" key and click on "Delete".
