Prevent display of My Documents icon on desktop (For Current User).
You have a choice to display the desired standard icons on the Desktop. Through this setting you can hide the My Documents icon from Desktop.

Now, right-click and modify the dword value {450d8fba-ad25-11d0-98a8-0800361b1103}, in the right panel, to 1 which can hide my documents icon on desktop. However, if you show the icon again, change the value data to 0 or delete the value. Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect. Note: the restrictions will apply only when you use new start menu display. First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel\] </b> and right-click on the DWORD value '{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}' and select 'Modify'.

Finally, set the 'Value Data' to '1' in the textbox provided and click on 'OK'.
