Disable the shortcut of Windows Movie Maker utility in new Start menu (For Current User).
The Most Frequent List in new Start menu displays the application names that are regularly used. This setting can disable the shortcut of the utility Windows Movie Maker from appearing in the list.

But, with this setting you can disable the shortcut of the utility windows movie maker in most frequent list of start menu. With windows movie maker you can create, edit, and share home movies using your computer. Moviemk.exe is the executable program for this utility. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If any of the subkeys applications\moviemk.exe is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a string value nostartpage, if this value does not exists, and leave the data blank. This removes the shortcut to the utility. However, if you want to get the utility shortcut back in start menu, delete the subkey moviemk.exe. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\] </b> and create a new key "Applications".

Third, create a sub key as "Moviemk.exe" under "Applications".

Fourth, create a String value as "NoStartPage".

Keep the value data blank to disable Movie Maker to appear in the 'Start Menu'.
