Description:
Cd-rom insertion lets the system issue a message to media features, which activates autoplay function. This media features remain disabled if they do not receive the message. There are some devices, which do not support these features because they recognize the loading of the media physically. Therefore, the system suppresses the message for these devices. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click to modify the expandable string value name "autorunalwaysdisable, in the right panel, to append the data value with the vendor or product name from the list of identified products and product groups. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.

Go to <b> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom\]</b>, right-click on "AutoRunAlwaysDisable" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value of vendor or product identfiers in the existing list and click on 'OK'.
