Internet explorer lets you install web components by self-installing programs. It automatically downloads and installs components if a web page needs them in order to display the page properly or perform a particular task. But, to avoid automatic installation, you can make the below changes in the regsitry. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the dword value nowebjitsetup, in the right panel, to no which can disable auto download of web components. However, if you want to revert to the original state, change the value data to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.
Next, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\] and right click on the DWORD value 'NoWebJITSetup' and select 'Modify'.
