This setting can disable the display of Welcome Center screen, when you log on to Windows.

In windows vista, the welcome center screen is called every time you start windows. This is helpful for first-time windows users who can easily undertake common tasks and configure their windows settings, in a convenient time. The welcome center is designed to help users complete their important setup tasks and get to know their pc, but this quickly gets annoying. To avoid the welcome center screen appear on your screen at each login, disable the feature. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click on the string value windowswelcomecenter, in the right panel, and delete it. However, if you want to enable the feature back, add the string value with the same name and change its value data to rundll32.exe oobefldr.dll,showwelcomecenter. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.
Next, go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\] </b> and right click on the String value 'WindowsWelcomeCenter' and finally delete it to disable Windows Welcome Center.
