This setting can disable the new transparency effect added around the edges of the windows.
Level: Recommended For Novice Users
Description:
Windows vista comes with new rich graphical interface and transitional effects. These new transparent and 3d effects are part of the windows vista aero desktop experience, which require a new graphic driver model called the wddm. If your system meets these high-end graphics requirements, you get aero glass. In aero glass, elements of the windows are transparent that adds transparency around the edges of the windows. However, you can disable this effect. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the dword value colorizationopaqueblend, in the right panel, to 1 which can disable transparency effect. However, if you want to enable the effect back, change the value data to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
