Description:
Cache is where instructions that are reused are kept by the microprocessor. Level 2 cache memory is called in short as l2 cache memory. Level 2 cache is located outside the processor chip and is larger but not faster as compared to cache memory. L2 cache transmits data from the processor chip into main memory which can stop data bottleneck. To optimize l2 cache memory, make changes to the registry. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the dword value secondleveldatacache, in the right panel, and assign a value compatible with your system. If the value of secondleveldatacache in the registry is set to 80 l2 cache memory will be 128 kb, of its 100 - l2 cache will be 256 kb, 200 will correspond to 512 kb and so on. However, if you want to enable back the default value, change the value data to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.
