Show Run command on Start menu.
This setting adds the ability to launch commands or processes from the Start menu by adding the Run option.

By default, the run command is hidden in windows vista start menu. For those who need quick access to programs from run command will surely like it get it back. The steps to show the command on start menu are: 1. Right-click on the start button / taskbar and select properties. 2. Select on the start menu tab and click on customize button, opposite to the start menu display style. 3. Finally, check the box for option run command. You can even make changes through the registry. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the dword value start_showrun, in the right panel, to 1 which can show run command. However, if you want to hide the option back, change the value data to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.

Now, go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\] </b> ,right click on the DWORD value 'Start_ShowRun' and select 'Modify'.

Finally set the value data as '1' to show 'Run' command on Start menu and click 'OK'.
