What is: BRI (basic rate interface)
 
Description:
A type of ISDN that is 144,000 bits per second, or a data transfer rate of 64 Kbps, and designed for the desktop, especially for individuals and small businesses. It contains two B-channels and one D-channel. Most telephone companies offer ISDN lines with two B-channel lines. You can use one line for voice and the other for data or both lines for data for data rates of 128 Kbps.
