Description:
 The common protocol used by the World Wide Web for formatting and transmitting messages. The protocol also defines what actions web servers and browsers should take to respond to various commands. For example, when you enter a URL, or web page address, in a browser, this action sends an HTTP command to the Web server to get and transmit the a Web page.
