Description:
An I/O architecture that connects servers with remote storage and networking devices or other servers. Servers can use this architecture internally for inter-processor communication. InfiniBand is a channel-based, switched fabric, point-to-point interconnect that can serve a wide range of platforms, providing a performance range of 500 MB/s to 6 GB/s per link. This range can meet the needs of entry level to enterprise systems.
