through a system restore. If a user enables the verification
routine, Retrospect does a byte-by-byte comparison of the archive
and the hard drive. The verrification routine makes backup slower
but prevents corrupted data from being transferred to the archive.
Users can also choose data compression, which will reduce file
size by 25 to 40 percent.
