Schedule Backup
By making backups of important files and emails,
you can reduce the damage caused by a virus attack or a crash.
Since making backups is not very difficult or expensive, anyone
who uses their computer more than a few hours each month should
consider installing good backup software to secure important
files and folders. WinBackup is new backup software from LIUtilities,
which makes it easier than ever before to backup your files,
Internet Favorites, and emails automatically in the background.
Since WinBackup comes with a built-in scheduler, it will work
in all versions of Windows 98, 2000, and XP without any problems.
Scheduling automatic backup jobs in WinBackup is as easy as
selecting the files and other data that you would like to back
up and then selecting how often you would like to back up those
files. With the built-in CD burning features, you can also save
your backups directly to CDs or DVDs. You can even leave a DVD
in your DVD writer at all times and have WinBackup update the
DVD automatically every day with new or modified files.
Scheduling Multiple Jobs
In WinBackup you can create any number of backup jobs; and you
can schedule each job separately. This allows you to back up
emails and other frequently used files more often while you
can backup large data files less often. By splitting your backups
into several jobs with different priorities, you can make your
scheduled backups run considerably faster. WinBackup's multi-threaded
backup engine with on-the-fly compression and encryption will
ensure that backup operations run smoothly and quickly on any
system; and, by enabling the Changes Only setting, you can often
back up your files in only a few seconds. When you are running
scheduled backups, the detailed backup log can be used to find
out which backup operations have been executed and if there
were any problems. By looking in the Job list, you easily find
out when each job was last executed.
Command Line Parameters
If you would like to use the Windows scheduler or some third-party
scheduling software, WinBackup can be called with command line
parameters. This allows advanced users to create customized
backup scripts, batch files, or their own programs, working
together with WinBackup. Since WinBackup already includes everything
you need to back up files quickly and easily using the command
line parameters, the Windows scheduler and your own scripts
or programs would allow you to back up almost anything, including
web sites, ftp folders, or databases.
