Two problems are known to us that can cause the select file interface to hang or crash. WinBackup at present is not fully compatible with hyper threading technology or dual core processors. If you are affected by this problem, the select file interface will crash without error while you are browsing it, and you will return to the Windows desktop. There is no resolution to this issue at present, although it will be addressed in a future update. Another problem can occur on some workstations where-by the backup job estimation process can take too long if a very large backup is chosen with many different sub-directories. This can also cause an interface error pop-up stating "Restarting file system iterator thread’. The only resolution to this issue is to reduce the size of your backup.
