The 2024(PS) is a printing hardware which connects to virtually all types of computer systems to deliver printing solutions for medium to large scale organizations and enterprises. It is designed with a PowerPC 750 processor chip that functions at 450 MHz to implement printing jobs regardless of the number of sources. This means that this particular hardware component is also ideal in a computer network environment deployed as a shared resource. To support the computing power of its onboard processor chip the 2024(PS) is equipped with a standard 64 MB removable memory module which can be expanded to a maximum of 1 GB with a maximum of 512 MB per memory slot. Basically this printing device can function independent of the processing power of the host computer system. The device driver ensures that all print job requests are properly coordinated to generate an accurate output.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
Consistent with other printing devices the 2024(PS) is capable of handling numerous types of font styles. It is also capable of interpreting the PostScript printing language making it compatible for printing both textual and graphical contents. In the same manner, the device driver helps in the interpretation of the page description language file that contains all the necessary information required by the supported hardware component to complete the printing process. The device driver is capable of handling the instruction by communicating with the requesting software application. The device driver provides the program requesting the print job with the correct command format to successfully finish the print request. The underlying operating system environment makes use of the device driver as a bridge to tap on the built-in feature sets of the supported hardware component. This process makes it possible to configure the device without being physically in front of it. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and 2024(PS) errors before installing any driver updates.
