The 3D Blaster PCI features nView display technology, Accuview Anti aliasing and Architecture II delivered using its new 256-bit graphic processor. The video card also features dual 350MHz RAMDACs enabling it to deliver 1 billion telex per second fill rate as well as 31 million triangles per second. The video card is available in both PCI and AGPP2x/4x versions that allow users to have control over display options, receive high quality graphics and efficient memory bandwidth. The device is able to support simultaneous monitor and TV output enabling it to produce impressive 3D gaming performance. 3D Blaster PCI combines Windows/DOS/3D accelerator making it more efficient, while its high-end 3D capabilities makes it appropriate for those who are serious about games. Although 3D Blaster is not that fast when used in 200 VGA, its performance greatly increases when used in Pentium systems.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
Increasing the resolution to 640 by 480 improves the 3D Blaster PCI performance mostly because of the use of Super VGA accelerator. When used with Microsoft's Tunnel demonstration in 16-bit color at resolutions of 640 X 480, the 3D Blaster is able to produce a maximum of 53.47 fps (frames per second). 3D Blaster PCI also features shading routines and realistic hardware texture mapping. When tested using Microsoft's D3D benchmark 3D Blaster PCI can be able to produce up to 4.33 million pixels per second. At the same time the card's polygon throughput is approximately 227 kilo polygons/second. Though its fill rate is lower compared to other cards, it still produces excellent graphics. The card also features smooth frame rate and quality lighting effects. With its improved bilinear texture filters, there is less blurring of textures resulting to high quality graphic images. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and 3D Blaster PCI errors before installing any driver updates.
