Windows device driver information for 3dfx Voodoo 3

Vodoo3 refers to a series of gaming computer cards that were created and designed by 3dfx Interactive. The Voodoo line has been in production since 1999. Based on a previous Banshee product, Voodoo 3 was criticized for its limitations despite complex bit precision that was eventually downsized for better clarity. The Banshee chip combines 2D and 3D style on one chip. In an attempt to counter the criticisms, the Banshee 2 was developed to operate at higher clock speeds. A contentious issue arose regarding differences between screenshots and the actual result. Modern games such as Ultimate Tournament were Voodoo3 strongholds and outdid other chips, including RVA TNT. RVA TNTs entry into the scene proved to be too much for Voodoo3, which was unable to support 32 bit precision. Despite this lack of 32 bit color depiction, performance was still impressive with a pipeline cable that could allow two Texels per clock sequence.
