Part of the DuoScan product line of Agfa Corporation it is capable of implementing scanning processes on documents as large as A4 size using its flatbed scanning module. The device driver was designed by its manufacturer to provide support for majority of professional and graphics art software applications. This allows for the deployment of the Agfa DuoScan T2500 in virtually every type of computing environment from home computing to high end graphics intensive computer systems. The device driver allows for the execution of a maximum of 2500 pixels per inch optical resolution using negatives, slides, and reflective scans among others. The original TwinPlate proprietary technology supported by its predecessors was combined with the dual lens system commonly found in A3 based scanners. The result is a better scanning process execution with high quality image outputs. The scanning process basically transforms paper documents into their digital counterpart by creating an image file. The digital image file can then be subjected to post processing effects or be used to archive data.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
This scanning device is deployed like four separate scanning units in a single hardware structure. The reason for this is that the Agfa DuoScan T2500 can implement scanning methods on transparencies as well as utilize its reflective scanning beds. It can also implement medium resolution scanning with its dual lenses creating a maximum resolution of 1250 optical pixels per inch. Lastly it can implement high resolution scanning for full detailed images. The device driver can ably support the execution of these four modes depending on the requirements of the computer user. The device driver of the Agfa DuoScan T2500 is likewise responsible for the execution of a control panel applet that will allow the computer user to adjust settings prior to the implementation of a scanning process. The computer user has the option of implementing the modified settings at every scanning process or for a specific scanning method only. The configuration settings allows the computer user to dictate the actual size of the image file that will be created. Basically the higher the resolution the bigger the file output. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and Agfa DuoScan T2500 errors before installing any driver updates.
