Windows device driver information for AM805 Keyboard

The AM805 Keyboard device is an input device capable of putting the information a user types into a program on a computer system. This keyboard has around 110 keys and the letters and numbers on the keyboard device are displayed as keycaps. Keycaps are the buttons that users press when they type. The letters’ and numbers’ layouts are all the same on each keyboard. This standard layout is called the QWERTY layout. The components inside of a keyboard device are similar to that of a computer system since it also contains circuits and a processor. The circuits and processor are mainly responsible for transferring the information typed by the user to the computer system’s processor. Inside the processor of the keyboard lies the key matrix. This key matrix is a grid consisting of circuits with each circuit located underneath every key.

Outdated Drivers?

To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates

Whenever a key on the AM805 Keyboard device is pressed by the user, it also presses a switch on the circuit board under the key which causes the flowing of an electrical current to the circuit and then to the keyboard processor. Once the electrical current flows through, the switch will vibrate and will signal the processor to process it. When a key is pressed a circuit will in turn be closed. The closing action of the closed circuit will then signal the processor to process the keymap stored within it. This keymap also known as the character map will be utilized by the processor for finding the closed key on the keyboard. By utilizing the keymap, the keyboard processor can accurately identify which letter or number is being pressed and if the pressed letter should be a lowercase or uppercase letter which will also depend if the key for ‘shift’ is also pressed down. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and AM805 Keyboard errors before installing any driver updates.
