The main task of a scanner device such as the AV420CS is to process a picture into something that users can understand, into a digital image that a computer system can process and store. This digital image is coded in millions of zeroes and ones called the binary code. A scanner device carries out this task by moving the scanning head forwards and backwards across a picture to reproduce the image. TV sets actually utilize a type of scanning process for building up the images users see on the screen. Much like a photocopier, a scanner device is able to produce black and white images via scanning a light over it. However, to create color images for a colored page, it has to separately scan the RGB (red, green, blue) page elements. The AV420CS scanner device sends the light across 3 times, once to obtain all 3 colors combining to create the colored page.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
After scanning a page, users will end up with an image file stored in the computer typically in the JPG, BMP or TFF file format. To turn the scanned file into text that is usable, the AV420CS scanner device makes use of an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) program. This computer program functions by working its way in a systematic method through the image file and then searching for recognizable patterns of characters and letters. Once the program has accurately identified the patterns, it will string the patterns together in a sequence so that it can then create a text file. Once the OCR program has finished its task, the original picture of the scanned page will become a digital file that can be easily edited or enhanced by the user. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and AV420CS errors before installing any driver updates.
