Windows device driver information for Bluetooth Phone Boook Access

The Bluetooth Phone Book Access Profile or PBAP is one of the Bluetooth profiles supported by the Windows Embedded NavReady. NavReady provides OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) with novel technologies to aid in creating portable navigation devices or PNDs that can effortlessly connect to the Internet, PCs that are Windows based, Bluetooth enabled phones, and online services. The Bluetooth Phone Book Access profile supported by the NavReady is capable of allowing devices to swap phonebook objects after successfully establishing a Bluetooth connection. These objects contain information regarding a contact stored on a portable phone. With this profile, users are capable of downloading phonebooks stored in their mobile phones making it possible to carry out hands free phone calls via the user interface (UI) of their PNDs that are powered by the NavReady. There are 2 roles or configurations specified for Bluetooth enabled devices that have support for PBAP – the PCE or Phone Book Client Equipment, and the PSE or Phone Book Server Equipment.
