The HL-5240 is a high-speed, printing workhorse that is made for reliable day-in and day-out laser printing. The standard interfaces are parallel with a high speed USB 2.0. The recommended monthly print volume is 500 to 3,500 pages while the monthly duty cycle is 20,000 pages. The first time print is less than 8.5 seconds. The standard memory is 16MB while the optional memory is 64MB, 128MB, 256MB or 512MB (144-pin DIMM). The resident fonts include 66 scalable fonts, 12 bitmap fonts, 11 bar codes for PCL and 66 scalable fonts for BR-Script3. The sheetweight for the paper tray is 16 to 28 lbs while the sheetweight for the multi-purpose tray is 16-43 lbs. The power source is AC 120V 50/60 Hz.
