The Brother MFC-8670DN USB Printer is a flatbed laser technology based multifunctional center that is equipped with a duplex capability. The duplexing feature (two sided function) applies not only to printing but also to scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities. The device driver allows for the implementation of high speed copying and printing operations while the supported hardware component is attached to the Universal Serial Bus interface port of the host computer system. The maximum 30 printed pages per minute capability of this hardware component is supported by a 1200 by 1200 dots per inch resolution. This results not only in faster outputs but equally high quality print outs as well. In terms of the automatic duplexing feature the Brother MFC-8670DN USB Printer can copy both sides of the original document. To further extend this feature the computer user has the option of either printing the copied material as a double sided or two single sided outputs. The computer user can also copy two single sided documents and print out one double sided copy. The same process applies to the scanning feature.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
Aside from the conventional Universal Serial Bus interface connection which delivers higher data transmission speeds, the Brother MFC-8670DN USB Printer can also support a Parallel interface connection. This is a useful alternative especially for older computer systems that do not have the functionality of a Universal Serial Bus interface port. The only draw back is that the Parallel communication port is relatively slower to the Universal Serial Bus interface port in terms of data transmission. Another interface that is supported by the device driver is the Ethernet connection. This type of connection is normally found in network computing environments. This functionality allows the Brother MFC-8670DN USB Printer to make use of Network Interface Card connections or via a router device. The sharing of this hardware component to the computer networking environment makes all feature sets available to the authorized users. The device driver is responsible for supporting the necessary network protocols to make this deployment possible. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and Brother MFC-8670DN USB Printer errors before installing any driver updates.
