The Canon CP-200 is a card photo printer hardware designed to attain maximum resolutions of 300 by 300 dots per inch using dye-sublimation printing technology to deliver lively and vibrant colors. The device driver for this printing hardware delivers the solution to allow for printing on 4 by 6 inches media at the fastest possible time without sacrificing quality. One of the roles of the hardware driver is to inform the operating system and the installed software applications of the limitations of the device in terms of the media that can be accommodated. This will allow the computer user to properly format files which are intended to be outputted to the Canon CP-200 hardware. Another important role of the device is to support the PictBridge technology. This technology allows for the printing of images directly from the digital camera device that captured it.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
The implementation of the PictBridge technology also requires the digital camera to support it. For digital cameras that are not compliant with the technology, the device driver still makes it possible to output quality pictures and even stickers from the Canon CP-200 device. The printing hardware is plugged into the Universal Serial Bus interface of the host computer system. This provides for a faster data transfer rate from the source hardware to the printing device. The communication layer provided by the device driver makes sure that high quality images are outputted in the same manner. For image files that are subjected to post processing effects, one of the roles of the device driver for the Canon CP-200 is to make sure that the applied effects are accurately represented on the output media. The device driver is also responsible for providing the necessary software based user interface that allows the computer user to configure the printing hardware depending on his preference. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and Canon CP-200 errors before installing any driver updates.
