The Canon S530D is designed as a multipurpose printing device that is capable of printing not only photographs but also vivid textual contents. The quality of the print out in this capacity is as close as possible to that generated by a laser printer. This is made possible by the implementation of the proprietary technologies built into the product by its manufacturers. Aside from activating the default printing function of the Canon S530D, the device driver is also responsible for implementing the functionality of the supported hardware component to print directly from a digital camera (using Universal Serial Bus interface connection) or from the PCMCIA slot on the device itself. The PCMCIA adapter slot incorporated into the hardware component is capable of supporting Type I CompactFlash memory cards. When supported by the proper installation of the device driver the computer user will be able to browse the contents of the memory card as if it were an internally attached device.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
The disk controller function supported by the device driver allows the computer user to virtually browse, copy, and paste contents to and from the devices connected to the Canon S530D hardware component. In terms of printing capability a maximum of 14 printed pages per minute can be generated in black printing mode while 10 printed pages per minute can be produced for colored printing. The supported print resolution is set by the manufacturer at 600 by 600 dots per inch in monochrome mode and 2400 by 1200 dots per inch using the colored printing option. The device driver also provides the computer user with needed flexibility by supporting the wide array of print materials that can be handled by the Canon S530D printer. In terms of compatibility, the memory card reader feature supported by the device driver allows the computer user to also make use of SmartMedia, Memory Stick, SD Card, IBM Microdrive, and Multimedia Card among others. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and Canon S530D Disk Controller errors before installing any driver updates.
