CanonScan D1250U2/D1250U2F is a flatbed scanner that can process the scanned images in both color and monochrome. The scanner's has a charge-coupled device (CCD) element and sources its light from a cold-cathode lamp. At optical resolutions, the scanner process images at 1200 x 2400 dpi, while at interpolated resolutions, the scanner processes images at 9600 x 9600 dpi. The maximum document size that this scanner processes is 8.5 x 11.7 inches. The scanner uses a hi-speed USB interface that enhances the transfer of images from the scanner to the machine. The length of the interface cable is approximately five inches. Usually, the scanner comes pre-packaged with the installation CD, which enables the users to install the device into the system.
