The CTX PR1450 series display monitor product line was introduced when the prevailing operating system version was the Microsoft Windows 98 platform. However, with the installation of the manufacturer provided device driver it was easily deployed on computer systems running on older versions of the operating system platform. In this context one of the important roles of the device driver is to provide backward compatibility to its supported hardware component. In some instances like updates, the device driver is designed to take advantage of newer technologies which were not present when the hardware was first introduced into the computer market. A classic example of this is the dual display functionality that is now commonly found in newer graphics processing cards. At certain times third party developers make use of the contents of the device driver to extend the support to operating system environments which are not inherently supported by the manufacturer.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
The installation process associated with the device driver of the CTX PR1450 series dictates the actual directory folder locations that will be utilized by the support files. It also dictates the ICM profiles that are available to the display hardware. These ICM profiles are actually color profiles that help to determine the color depth that can be displayed on the computer screen. It also allows for the effective calibration of the display hardware based on industry accepted standards. The calibration process provides various advantages to different software applications that rely on the accuracy of color shades. The device driver for the CTX PR1450 series also places important information into the registry database of the operating system to help determine the native resolution supported by the hardware. It also communicates directly with the display components of the host computer system to activate certain feature sets that are associated not only with the display but energy savings as well. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and CTX PR1450 series errors before installing any driver updates.
