This software supports Service Diagnostic Serial Ports or WDM, also known as Win32 Driver Model. WDM is a structure module for the device driver and is commonly used in Windows 98 and Windows 2k, replacing the module VxD. The VxD module is used only on older versions of Windows, like Win95, NT 4.0 driver and 3.1 versions. These drivers are levels in a multi-faceted hierarchy and correspond with other drivers thru IRP (I/O Request Packet). It also classifies a combined driver model for Win98 and Win2k by meeting the standard requirements and reducing the capacity of data required to be written. This driver will not execute on platforms older than Windows 98 and 95 and NT 3.1, in compliance to the driver's requirement. It can be binary and source compatible across higher platforms like XP and Vista on a x86-based computer or higher.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
A WDM is designed to be matched on advance scale so that it can execute on a version that is higher than Win 95, as initially written to the driver's condition. Running WDM would not mean that it cannot take lead of any attributes introduced with the higher versions of platform. For instance, platforms like XP can utilize a driver written for Win 2K but will not run any of the new features of WDM that are initiated in XP platform. Still, a driver written for XP can or cannot load on Win2k or vice versa. Windows driver model exists in the transitional layer of Win2K kernel mode driver. It establishes to increase the capacity and make writing driver easier for Windows. Still, it is mainly intended to be binary compatible and source compatible on both Win98 and Win2K. It can always be preferred, so detailed driver can be expanded for either platforms. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and Curitel Packet Service Diagnostic Serial Port (WDM) errors before installing any driver updates.
