The Datamax Ovation is a bar code label printer that has a small footprint of 8” X 10” ideal for point of use labeling tasks where there is confined space. The main features of the printer include 512 DRAM (dynamic random access memory), quick 32 bit RISC processing, a Windows driver and a print resolution of 203 dpi (dot per inch). This bar code label printer is capable of printing all widely used linear bar codes along with 2D symbologies such as MaxiCode and PDF417. This printer comes with a wall mount kit (optional) so that it is enabled to vertically hang if the counter space is really limited. The printer likewise comes with a battery pack for mobility purposes. The unique construction of the Datamax Ovation printer combines a metal print registration and sturdy plastic casing. Its clamshell design allows users to easily drop media, load ribbons and access the printhead easily.

This printer comes in 3 types, field installed, optional transfer or direct thermal and its printing speed is 1 inch/25 mm per second, 1.5 inches/38 mm per second and 2 inches/51 mm per second. Its printing resolution is 203 dpi but it can be made to use a maximum resolution of 300 dpi. The Barcode Modulus of the Datamax Ovation printer is 203 dpi X the dimension in ladder or picket fence orientations, while the maximum is 300 dpi X the dimension in ladder or picket fence orientations as well.
