The deployment of the deskjet 840c and its corresponding device driver delivers photo quality printed pages to the host computer system. The printing process initiated by this hardware component is based on the colored Inkjet technology that generates fast outputs with an easy and reliable user interface. The black textual content is comparable to that produced by laser technology based printing devices while colored images are printed with the highest possible quality. The high quality output is based on the proprietary Color Layering Technology that is embedded by the manufacturer for this printer product line. The accompanying device driver can easily implement high quality printing even on ordinary paper media. The installation of the correct device driver will also ensure the computer user that what is displayed on the computer screen is what will be printed on paper. This is in consonance with the What You See Is What You Get computing method.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
When the appropriate device driver is installed into the host computer the computer user will have the ability to select from Draft, Normal, or Best printing modes. The deskjet 840c can implement varying printing speeds depending on the mode and type of textual content. For monochrome printing of textual contents 8, 4.6, and 4 printed pages per minute can be generated in Draft, Normal, and Best printing modes respectively. Mixed color printing outputs 5, 3.1, and 0.8 printed pages per minute using the various printing modes. The device driver of the deskjet 840c can also implement full page colored printing with a corresponding output of 1.4, 0.5, and 0.2 printed pages per minute for the different printing modes. The device driver also allows the Drop-on-Demand thermal Inkjet printing technology. The device driver also makes use of the Level 3 of the Printer Command Language. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and deskjet 840c errors before installing any driver updates.
