The digital Camera has a built-in computer that allows it to record captured images electronically. Unlike the traditional camera, the digital camera does not need any mechanical or chemical process to operate. The digital images captured through the digital camera are made up of tiny dots (pixels), which form a long string that make up the image. The camera has lenses, which focus on a semi conductor device hence recording an image electronically. The computer mechanism inside the digital camera then breaks the electronic information into digital data. In place of a film as used by the conventional cameras, a digital camera has a Charge Couple Device (CCD) or a Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) feature to convert captured images into electrical charges. Digital camera can have resolutions ranging from 256 x 256, 640 x 480, 1296 x 912, 1600 x 1200, 2240 x 1680 and 4064 x 2704.
