The DT9835 device is an affordable USB digital I/O Module. This device is suitable for applications that require control functionalities. It is capable of providing 96 digital lines, 32 input and 64 I/Os that are grouped together to form 12 8 bit ports. 8 of the ports are either output or input with 4 ports being dedicated as inputs. On the other hand, digital outputs can drive solid state, external relays (sink 12mA). This device is also capable of generating an interrupt in the event that one of the 8 digital I/O lines that correspond to banks 11 and 10 changes its state. This function will be very handy when users want to keep track of vital signals or in the event that users want to signal the host PC for transferring data from and to the board. Users are allowed to activate interrupts on the banks on a bit by bit basis.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
There are many software selections compatible with the DT9835 device for application development which is included in the Data Acquisition Omni CD. One such software is the Measure Foundry – a drag and drop measurement and test application builder developed to provide high performance and ease of operation. Also included are the Measurement Applets. These are small applications that were designed with the Measure Foundry. They can be easily combined or modified to deliver a particular solution. On the other hand, the quickDAQ application obtains analog data coming from devices that are supported by the software for DT-Open Layers for .NET at quick speeds. It is likewise capable of plotting the data during acquisition, analyzing it, and then saving the data to a disk to be analyzed later. This application only supports function for analog input. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and DT9835 errors before installing any driver updates.
