The DUOSCAN f80 is a scanner device manufactured by Agfa. This scanner device makes use of the TwinPlate Scanning technology which allows it to scan transparencies and reflective artwork on two separate scan beds all in one integrated machine. The glass plate used for reflectives is placed on top, while the tray for accommodating transparencies is placed on the bottom part. One cartridge that carries the sources of light, CCD sensor and optics serves both trays. The sole mechanical operation that occurs in the event that users switch from scanning one type to another is the single mirror’s rotation. This scanner device is a desktop flatbed scanner. The DUOSCAN f80 scanner device has an optical resolution of 1250 X 2500 dots per inch (dpi), with an interpolated resolution of 2500 X 2500 dost per inch (dpi). Its input type is color and it has 42 bit color as well. This scanner device can accommodate a maximum of 216 X 356 mm legal media size and a 203 X 355 mm document size.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
This flatbed scanner device’s supported media type includes film, bulk objects like books, slides, plain paper and transparencies. On the other hand, the scanner’s interface type is FireWire 9Fast SCSI/ IEEE 1394. A flatbed scanner device like the DUOSCAN f80 is typically made up of a platen (glass pane), under which a bright light (like cold cathode fluorescent or xenon) is capable of illuminating the glass pane and the optical array that moves used in CCD scanning. Scanners using the CCD sensors usually have 3 arrays (rows) of sensors with the filters red, green and blue. In computing terms, a scanner device is capable of scanning printed text, images, objects, or handwriting optically. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and DUOSCAN f80 errors before installing any driver updates.
