The F55S is a flat-square CRT monitor ideal for daily use in the office. The monitor has a high performance display, which operates at 0.28mm dot pitch. Combined with the 1024 x 1024 flicker free resolution makes the F55s an ideal monitor for graphics. The monitor measures 17 inches and has a 90-degree invar-deflection shadow mask. The CRT surface is treated with a Super Ergo Coat. The active display for the F55s is 319 mm height, 239 mm volume and 12.6 inches height. The diagonal viewable image size is 399mm or 15.7 inches. The screen control properties for the monitor include a one-touch auto sizing function and a screen manager program. The power management system employed by the monitor include the VESA Display Power management signaling (DPMS) - a standard that signals the monitor to switch into a power saving mode, which can either be power suspension or standby mode.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
The F55s monitor also employs the NUTEK power saving mode, which together with the Vesa DMPS limits power consumption by the monitor to 95 watts. On power save mode, the monitor consumes fewer than 10 watts. The monitor works as a plug and play in most windows platforms using the Display Data Channel (DDC) 1/2B. The DDC1 passes the monitor's capabilities to the host computer, while the DDC2 allows the computer process the display settings and adjust the F55S. The resolution on this device is flexible giving the user up to 1600 x 1200 or more. The graphic cards that users opt to use on their machines further enhance the user friendliness of the F55s by providing higher refresher rates. The 0.28 mm dot pitch in the F55S monitor means that it has tight and sharp images and clear text. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and EIZO F55 errors before installing any driver updates.
