The ENE CB-722/724/820 Cardbus Controller driver is designed for use on windows XP. The driver is applicable in three cardbus controllers namely the ENE 722, ENE724 and ENE 820. The driver should be installed in the host PC since it resolves compatibility issues that the system may develop upon the use of any of the three cardbus controllers. The cardbus controller has a LED pin, which controls traffic for every reader interface. It also supports double cardbus functionalities, such that reader interfaces can comfortably execute functions concurrently without causing any machine hang-ups or delays. The device has a 3.3 volts core function that makes it tolerant to the five voltage settings. The drivers for the ENE CB-722/724/820 Cardbus Controller are usually provided by the manufacturer on an installation CD on device purchase or on the official manufacturer website. After installation, a reboot is recommended.
Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.
To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
The ENE CB-722/724/820 Cardbus Controller extends the PCI bus by providing a cardbus slot where the user can insert an R2 card hence providing a PCI-to-PCI bridge. Under windows, the device driver is configured as a PCI driver. This allows the BIOS and ACPI to provide support to the device thus allowing proper functioning of the same. To enable this, The BIOS initializes a set up for the cardbus controllers and reports it as a compatible cardbus controller. Next, the BIOS sets up a command top register, and keep memory of the device. The BIOS must be compliant to the 2.1 standard for it to establish proper functions for the device and ensure that there will be interruption-free routing. This us aided by the generation of the device in PCI mode, which means that the device can share interrupts with CSC when necessary. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and ENE CB-722/724/820 Cardbus Controller errors before installing any driver updates.
