Windows device driver information for EPSON GT-2200

The Epson GT-2200 driver is designed for use with the corresponding GT-2200 scanner, which fits into Epson's GT scanner series. The driver is provided by the manufacturer on purchase on an installation CD although the same can be downloaded from the official Epson website. The website also has driver updates that rectify the problems that the manufacturer may have overlooked during product release. The Gt-2200 scanner is a flatbed scanner that has an automatic document feeder, a paper support, eagle guides, error lights, ready light, a start button, a power button and a scanner transport lock. The scanner also has a DC inlet, a USB interface, an ADF cable and a card slot, which acts as an optional interface for the scanner. The automatic document feeder can hold up to 50 copies of the original documents, which eliminates the need of placing each document individually on the scanner.

Outdated Drivers?

Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.

To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates

The GT-2200 scanner's resolution is set at 1200 dpi while the output resolution ranges from 50 dpi to 4800, 7200 and 9600 dpi. The resolution increments should however be done at 1 dpi at a time. The scanning speed in the GT-2200 is approximately 0.4 millisecond per line in mo0nochrome and 1.2 milliseconds per line in color. The user can opt to place the original documents straight on the table glass instead of using the document feeder. Once the scanner is connected to the host computer for the very first time, the operating system on the computer will automatically recognize the scanner as a new hardware device. To enable proper operations between the host computer and the scanner, the user needs to install the device driver, which contains information regarding the scanner's operations and functions. This information is communicated to the operating system thus necessitating proper functions between the two. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and EPSON GT-2200 errors before installing any driver updates.
