Windows device driver information for EPSON GT-7600

The GT-7600 driver is used in the corresponding scanner manufactured by Epson. The scanner is a tabletop device that can scan both in monochrome and in color. The scanner reads the original images and manuscripts through moving a read head on the document. The color CCD acts as the sensors within an effective area if 216 millimeters by 297 millimeter. The scanner's effective pixels are 10200 x 14040, which translates to 1200 dpi. This means that the scanning resolution for both the main scans and vertical scans are all done at 1200 dpi. The output resolution ranges from 50, 4800 to 9,600 dpi. The increments are however made with increments of 1 dpi at a time. The scanning speeds differ between monochrome scan and color scans. The monochrome are faster with 6.5 milliseconds per line, while the color scans take 7.0 milliseconds per line.

Outdated Drivers?

Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.

To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates

The GT-7600 scanner has an effective zoom that can improve the total image size from 50 percent to 200 percent. This however can be achieved through one percent increments. The read tone for each color is 12-bit input and 8-bit output. The imaging in the scanner is done through four methods; dither, halftone process, AAS processing and TET treatment. The Epson GT-7600 scanner has a parallel and USB interface. The parallel i8nterface is a 50-pin type SCCI connector, while the USB is a 2.0 high-speed connector. On purchase, the user is provided with the driver's package, warranty card, and an instruction manual. The driver package can also be downloaded from the Epson official website. Also available from the website are the updates of the same. Because the scanner can be used on both Windows and Macintosh platforms, the user should always be specific about the platform he is downloading the driver. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and EPSON GT-7600 errors before installing any driver updates.
