Gateway vivitron 17 is a CRT monitor produced by Gateway. It is based on Vivitron technology and is basically a version of Sony's Trinitron system. The size of the tube is 17 inches- hence the product's name- and the viewable area measures 15.9 inches. This monitor is a composite and separate sync type with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024. It is a Multisync/Multiscan monitor type and comes with a HD-15 connector; a cable with 15 pins which is the most regular PC video connector and is used by a majority of monitor users. A 24-pin DVI-D cable is also required but it is not included in the package. It has a pixel pitch of 0.264 mm x 0.264 mm and an aspect ratio of 5.4. The response time of this device is 8 ms and it has 16.2 million colors as well as a lamp life of 50,000 hours.
