Windows device driver information for GoldStar 1510

The GoldStar 1510 is a CRT (cathode ray tube) monitor from LG Electronics. This monitor is able to create a picture out of many rows or lines. These lines and rows have tiny colored dots (not the same as pixels) wherein the higher the lines of dots per inch, the clearer the resolution. Higher resolution monitors are important for displaying good detailed graphics. In this monitor, a picture tube narrows at the rear to the bottleneck and at the bottleneck, a negative charged filament or cathode is enclosed in a vacuum. When electricity is supplied, the filament becomes heated and a stream of electrons is poured off into the vacuum. Negatively charged electrons become attracted to positively charged anodes which then focus the particles for them to accelerate and strike the phosphor-coated screen.

The phosphor will then glow after being exposed to any kind of radiation because it absorbs ultraviolet light then emits a visible light of fluorescent color. The phosphors that emit green, red and blue light are those used in the Goldstar 1510 color monitor. They are arranged as stripes which are made up of dots of colors. All the beams are used in combinations to satisfy the needed hues to form the pictures. Copper steering coils are also included in this monitor to precisely direct the beams since the copper steering coils create magnetic fields inside the tube. The magnetic fields move the electron beams either vertically or horizontally. Various voltages used by the steering coils produce a beam that can be positioned at any area of the screen. The images are then painted on the screen and then repainted for several times at high rates. The Goldstar 1510 monitor also has a “dot pitch” feature which is related to sharpness or tightness of the pictures that appears on the screen. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and GoldStar 1510 errors before installing any driver updates.
